Over the past 20 years, the Mitchell Group has become a global organization focused on learning and human development for people of all ages with an emphasis on primary education.

TMG has considerable experience working in Africa on integrated development programs focusing on community and basic education. Our activities have focused on strengthening institutional capacity through community decision-making processes, resolving questions of equity and access, decentralizing management, strengthening administration, and developing programmatic and financial transparency.

TMG also notes that educators, like other professionals, need and deserve access to continual and high-quality professional education. TMG develops, implements, and evaluates professional development programs for teachers and administrators at the varied stages of their career growth. We help educators integrate active learning approaches into more traditional classroom practices. On a broader level, we work to restructure professional development systems by creating "communities of practice" within and among schools. We work in close partnership with educators and administrators in a wide variety of settings to ensure that they have the knowledge and tools they need to support student learning.
